WELCOME TO THE FREEZER LONGLINE CONSERVATION COOPERATIVE (FLCC)

This website provides information about the Cooperative to existing and potential members.

The Cooperative was formed for the purposes of:

	Promoting, fostering, and encouraging the intelligent and orderly harvest of Pacific cod and other groundfish species in the Bering Sea/Aleutian Islands by longline fisheries off Alaska
	Reducing waste and improving resource utilization in the fisheries; reducing the incidental catch of non-target species in the fisheries
	Supporting research and public education about the fisheries and facilitating interrelationships between the participants in the fisheries

FLCC VESSEL BUYBACK PROGRAM:

NOTICE: Buyback was completed March 2007

The FLCC is sponsoring a freezer longline vessel buyback program applicable to holders of a Federal License Limitation Program groundfish license (LLP license) that is noninterim and transferable, or that is interim and subsequently becomes noninterim and transferable, and that is endorsed for Bering Sea or Aleutian Islands catcher processor fishing activity, C/P, Pacific cod, and hook and line gear. This program is open to each holder of record of an appropriately endorsed LLP License whether or not they are currently a member of the FLCC.
